The Briefing Room Programme

The preparation that changes how you go into treatment.

The Briefing Room Programme is a structured six-week preparation course for solo women over 40 navigating IVF and fertility treatment — the groundwork most women go into treatment without.

If the name sounds serious, it's because it is.

Led by Sarah, who navigated this alone at 43, got it wrong in the ways that cost the most, and spent two years understanding why.

Independent — not funded by clinics, and no financial stake in where you spend your treatment money.

The cost of going in unprepared

The financial and emotional cost of going in unprepared is real.

Thousands

The cost of one IVF cycle — before you've even considered whether the clinic was the right choice

More

Added on top when you say yes to add-ons you didn't know to question

Priceless

The time you don't get back from a cycle at the wrong clinic, with the wrong strategy

What's included

Six weeks to build your own treatment strategy — before you spend thousands.

One call per step, a final strategy review, and four expert-led sessions. You leave with a plan that's yours.

1

Preparing to Start

Organise your fertility tests, self-advocacy and understanding the business of fertility.

2

Creating Your Financial Plan

Budget for multiple cycles. Understand where costs come from and where they can be controlled.

3

Choosing the Right Clinic

How to evaluate clinics, read success metrics honestly, and avoid the ones that are running a sales process.

4

5

Your Constellation of Care

Build the support team — emotional, logistical, and financial — so you're not navigating this completely alone.

6

Your Bespoke Strategy — Final Review

A final session to review the strategy you've built across the six weeks. Ask anything. Sense-check everything. Leave with a plan that's completely your own — before you spend any cash on treatment.

What happens when women go in without a strategy.

These aren't edge cases. They're the norm — and most of them are entirely avoidable.

Choose a clinic based on proximity or marketing, not evidence
Go into their first consultation underprepared and leave with a plan they don't fully understand
Say yes to add-ons they didn't know to question — often hundreds more per cycle
Run out of budget before they find the approach that works
Process a rejection from a clinic as a medical verdict, when it's often a business decision
Start treatment without the emotional and logistical support they need around them
Lose time — the one thing over 40 you can't get back
Spend months in analysis paralysis — overwhelmed by conflicting information with no framework to make sense of it

"I started IVF at 43 with no strategy, no idea what questions to ask, and no way to evaluate what the clinic was telling me. Everything on this page is what I was looking for then — and couldn't find."

— Sarah, Solo Fertility 40s

FAQ

Common questions

Can I join if I have a partner?

Yes. Having a partner doesn't always mean having support, and the content — clinic selection, finances, consultations, preparation — applies regardless of relationship status. Please note the programme won't cover sperm issues or partner dynamics, but everything else is relevant to any woman navigating fertility treatment.

Is this relevant if I've already started treatment?

It depends where you are. If you're in your first cycle, much of the content — financial planning, clinic evaluation, consultation management — still applies to decisions ahead of you. If you're several cycles in, it's likely less relevant right now. If you're unsure, email me and I'll tell you honestly.

It is only my salary funding treatment. Can I really afford this?

It's a fair question to ask directly, so here's a direct answer. A single IVF cycle typically costs £5,000–£15,000 or more, depending on clinic and country. Women who go in without a strategy often spend more — on the wrong clinic, on add-ons they didn't know to question, on a second cycle that better preparation might have avoided. The programme is designed to make every pound you spend on treatment go further. For most women, it pays for itself before the first consultation.

I'm not sure I'm ready to start treatment yet. Is this still for me?

This is actually one of the best moments to join — before you've committed to anything. The programme is about building your strategy before you spend, not after. Women who join early leave with a clear roadmap: which clinics to approach, what questions to ask, what their realistic options are. That clarity changes how you move through the system. Waiting until you feel "ready" often means waiting until you're already in it and under pressure.

How is this different from researching it myself?

Google will give you information. The programme gives you a framework for what to do with it. There's no shortage of fertility content online — most of it is either clinical and hard to apply, commercially motivated, or written for couples. This is structured, independent guidance built specifically for solo women over 40, led by someone who has been through it and made the mistakes so you don't have to. The difference isn't access to information. It's knowing which information applies to you, and what to do next.

What if I join and discover the programme isn't right for me?

There's a money-back guarantee. If the programme isn't right for you and you haven't attended any expert sessions, you're not stuck. But more than that — the programme isn't a treatment. It's preparation. What you build across six weeks — your understanding of your biology, your clinic shortlist, your consultation questions, your strategy — stays with you regardless of what happens next.

Will the expert sessions be recorded if I can't join one?

The initial conversation with the expert will be made available. Questions from the group will not, to protect privacy.

Do you offer a payment plan?

No — this is an upfront investment, which encourages full participation and helps with planning. It also means everyone who joins is fully committed to the group.

What time zone are the calls held in?

Calls are held at a time that works across time zones as far as possible. All sessions are recorded so you can catch up if you can't join live.

Is this only for women considering IVF?

No. The programme covers the preparation stage for fertility treatment more broadly — including IUI. The financial, logistical, and emotional frameworks apply whatever route you're exploring.

What if I'm considering treatment abroad?

The programme is designed to help you evaluate clinics wherever they are. The framework for choosing well, asking the right questions, and protecting your budget applies internationally.

When does the next cohort start?

The next cohort starts Autumn 2026. Applications are open — or if you'd prefer to be notified about future cohorts, register your interest here.

I'm under 40 — is this programme relevant for me?

The preparation guidance may be useful, but the programme is designed specifically for solo women over 40. Expert discussions will be focused on this age group — the challenges, the statistics, and the decisions that are particular to women over 40 navigating treatment alone. If you're significantly younger, much of it won't reflect your situation. If you're unsure whether it's right for you, email me and I'll be honest with you.

If you're earlier in the process — still weighing whether this is the path for you — The Inner Circle is where women in their 40s explore these questions together, before they're ready to take the next step. Launching July 2026.
