What data we collect and why

Email address and name

When you sign up for the 5-Step Fertility Starter Roadmap, the newsletter, or the community, you provide your email address and optionally your first name. We collect this to:

• Send you the resource or update you requested
• Send you the Solo Fertility 40s newsletter (if you opted in)
• Notify you about The Briefing Room Programme and other updates relevant to your fertility journey

Legal basis: Consent. You can withdraw consent and unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email, or by emailing hello@solofertility40s.com.

Website usage data

This site is hosted on Vercel, which automatically logs basic technical data (IP addresses, browser type, pages visited) for security and performance purposes. We do not use this data to identify individual visitors. Legal basis: Legitimate interest in maintaining a secure and functional website.

Analytics

This site uses two analytics tools to understand how visitors use it:

• Google Analytics (GA4) — collects anonymised data on pages visited, time on site, approximate location, device type, and how you arrived at the site. This data is processed by Google. You can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
• Microsoft Clarity — records anonymised session replays, heatmaps, and click patterns to help understand how visitors navigate the site. Clarity may record mouse movements and clicks but does not capture passwords or payment information. You can learn more at Microsoft's privacy statement.

Both tools use cookies. Legal basis: Legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used in order to improve it. You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time.

Google Fonts

This site loads fonts from Google's servers (fonts.googleapis.com). When your browser requests these fonts, Google may log your IP address. This is a standard web practice. You can find Google's privacy policy at google.com/policies/privacy.

Third parties we work with

• Kit (formerly ConvertKit) — email marketing platform that stores and manages your email subscription. Kit is based in the US and operates under standard contractual clauses for GDPR compliance. Kit's privacy policy: kit.com/privacy

We do not share your data with fertility clinics, treatment providers, advertisers, or any other commercial third party.

Cookies

This site uses cookies for analytics purposes (Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity) as described above. Vercel may also set a minimal session cookie for technical functionality. You can disable or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings — this will not affect your ability to use the site.

How long we keep your data

• Email subscription: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data
• Server logs: retained by Vercel in line with their data retention policy

Your rights under UK GDPR

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Rectify inaccurate data
• Erase your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Restrict processing of your data
• Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
• Object to processing based on legitimate interest
• Withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing
